The performance of the Air Zoom Vapor X meets the retro styling of the Air Max 95, in the Nike Air Zoom Vapor X AM 95. Based of off the limited shoe that Roger Federer wore during the sunshine double (Indian Wells & Miami) in 2018, this retro styled high performance court shoe features the same outsole, and mid-foot stability features of the Air Zoom Vapor X. The upper features anatomically-inspired suede, with bold pops of neon color integrated into the dynamic fit lacing system, and the tongue. Mesh overlays are featured on top of the toe-box, and through the tongue to help with ventilation. The foam midsole, combined with a Zoom Air Unit in the heel provides responsive cushioning, and a speedy feel. A generative outsole design helps to provide traction and durability on all court surfaces.
- Upper: Nike Dynamic Fit system for a glove-like fit. Padded collar provides added comfort. Anatomically-inspired suede for a retro style, combined with mesh overlays on the vamp, and tongue to help with ventilation.
- Midsole: Zoom Air unit in the heel provides low-profile, responsive cushioning. TPU mid foot shank for lateral support and stability. Pylon midsole provides lightweight, receptive padding. .
- Outsole: Generative design places added traction on the perimeter of the outsole to support explosive directional changes on the court. 7.5mm wear shelf is engineered with a thicker tread in high-wear zones for added durability. Rubber is removed in low-wear areas to keep weight at a minimum while delivering an outsole that wears evenly.
